South Korea is accelerating its response to voice phishing and spam attacks through real-time system integration between law enforcement, telecom operators, and the UNMS (Illegal Number Use Suspension System) platform. This upgrade reduces blocking time from multiple days to within 24 hours, directly addressing a critical cybercrime challenge where spam complaints exceeded 361 million last year and voice phishing losses surpassed 1.2 trillion won.
