Teaching Claude to QA a mobile app

A solo developer building the community app Zabriskie describes using Claude to automate QA testing for mobile apps built with Capacitor, which wraps a React web app in native WebView shells. While Playwright handles 150+ E2E tests for the web version, mobile testing falls into a gap where neither web nor native testing tools work inside Capacitor's WebView. Android automation was achieved in 90 minutes using adb reverse and Chrome DevTools Protocol, while iOS took over six hours, highlighting the disparity in mobile automation tooling.
