Sony’s AI graphics upscaling for PS5 Pro games is getting a big update tonight

Sony is rolling out an upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) AI upscaling technology to multiple PS5 Pro titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Silent Hill 2. Digital Foundry tested the update and confirmed it resolves previous issues with shimmering and visual artifacts, delivering crisper graphics. The update, developed through AMD and Sony's Project Amethyst collaboration, arrives via a PS5 system software update on March 17th.
