Bring your own phosphor: thirteen problems Claude Code couldn't solve without me

A former Canadian Coast Guard officer with 365 verified sea days built thirteen open-source skills for Claude Code, bridging the gap between AI-generated output and real-world domain expertise. Two key tools — OPTIC, a sequential image grounding pipeline, and LOCUS, which maps interactive perspective-correct HTML overlays onto static AI-generated images — demonstrate how operator knowledge like authentic CRT phosphor designations (P1 green, P3 amber) and real control room ergonomics produce results the model alone cannot achieve.
