Airbus is preparing two Kratos Valkyrie uncrewed combat aircraft at its Manching facility, equipping them with the sovereign European MARS mission system for maiden flights later this year, targeting operational delivery to the German Air Force by 2029. The MARS system includes an AI brain called MindShare capable of coordinating manned and uncrewed platforms, while the Eurofighter is being enhanced as a command aircraft through upgraded Litening 5 targeting pods with cross-platform connectivity.
