한미약품, 악성 피부암 ‘흑색종’ 임상 2상 투약…4년 뒤 상용화

Hankook Korus Pharm has initiated a Phase 2 clinical trial for its oral targeted anticancer drug 'Belvarafenib' to treat melanoma, the most aggressive and fatal form of skin cancer. Belvarafenib has been designated as an innovative drug candidate by the Korean FDA, enabling faster commercialization. If the Phase 2 trial is successful, Hankook Korus Pharm aims to obtain conditional approval and introduce Belvarafenib to the market by 2029, reducing the country's reliance on imported cancer treatments.
