As emerging technologies like quantum computing and sub-THz communications reshape the industry, measurement standards have become a critical pillar of technological trust and national competitiveness. While Korea has developed world-class measurement research, its domestic metrology equipment ecosystem remains weak compared to China's rapid advancement through massive investment. Future industrial dominance will be determined not by speed of technology development alone, but by establishing reliable, internationally-recognized measurement standards that underpin global technological trust.
