Designed for Violation: The Fundamental Human Rights Conflict Within Generative AI

Generative AI systems, despite promises of efficiency, are fundamentally built on violations of international human rights law through unlawful web scraping and mass privacy invasions. This analysis reveals that these systems are architecturally incompatible with core human rights protections around privacy, freedom of expression, and protection from discrimination. The findings suggest that regulatory patches or ethical guidelines are insufficient—protecting fundamental human rights may require prohibiting such systems entirely.
