Trump's DOJ has rejected Sam Bankman-Fried's attempt to rebrand as a MAGA supporter, calling his political pivot an insincere strategy to obtain leniency on his 25-year prison sentence. Prosecutor Sean Buckley argued that Bankman-Fried, a former major Biden donor, pre-planned his party switch before conviction and is now executing it from prison. The White House has also confirmed Trump has no intention of pardoning him, unlike other crypto figures such as CZ Zhao and Ross Ulbricht.
