This startup wants to change how mathematicians do math

Axiom Math, a Palo Alto startup, has released Axplorer, a free AI tool for mathematicians that discovers mathematical patterns to help solve long-standing problems. Axplorer is a redesigned version of PatternBoost, which previously required a supercomputer but now runs on a Mac Pro and was used to crack the Turán four-cycles problem. While LLMs have been used to solve some open math problems, Axiom Math's founder argues their tools target harder, well-studied challenges and support the exploratory side of mathematics.
