The man who coined Metaverse now says Meta’s glasses are creepy

Neal Stephenson, who coined the term 'Metaverse' in his 1992 novel Snow Crash, now says Meta's smart glasses are creepy and that face-worn computing is no longer the future. He believes people will continue using handheld devices rather than adopt face-worn alternatives, and that shrinking headsets to glasses size won't solve the social acceptance problem.
