The IEEPA Era Is Over

The US Supreme Court ruled 6–3 that IEEPA does not authorize presidential tariffs, ending the 25% tariffs on Canadian goods since March 2025. A temporary 10% global surcharge under Section 122 took effect immediately, exempting CUSMA-qualifying goods, with new Section 301 investigations launched against 15+ countries to establish longer-term tariffs by mid-2026.
