The team built a tool-using agent that appeared nondeterministic but was actually failing consistently due to invisible state drift. By integrating Hindsight to record and replay execution traces, normalizing tool responses, and feeding failure patterns back into the agent, they achieved stable and predictable behavior without increasing context or adding RAG.
