Study: Workers who fall for 'corporate bullshit' may be worse at their jobs

연구: '기업식 헛소리'에 속아 넘어가는 직원들, 업무 능력도 떨어질 수 있다

Why it matters

A Cornell University study published in Personality and Individual Differences found that workers most impressed by corporate jargon and buzzwords tend to score lower on analytical thinking and fluid intelligence, leading to worse business decisions. Researcher Shane Littrell developed a "Corporate Bullshit Receptivity Scale" after testing 1,000 office workers with a mix of generated nonsense and real Fortune 500 quotes. Those most susceptible to corporate bullshit consistently chose the worst solutions to workplace problems.
