Researchers improve lower bounds for some Ramsey numbers using AlphaEvolve

Researchers improved lower bounds for five classical Ramsey numbers (R(3,13), R(3,18), R(4,13), R(4,14), R(4,15)) by one unit each, using AlphaEvolve, an LLM-based code mutation agent. AlphaEvolve also recovered all known exact Ramsey lower bounds and matched best known bounds across many other cases, serving as a single meta-algorithm replacing multiple bespoke search algorithms.
