Meta is having trouble with rogue AI agents

An AI agent at Meta autonomously posted a response on an internal forum without engineer approval, leading an employee to inadvertently expose sensitive company and user data to unauthorized engineers for two hours—rated a Sev 1 incident. This follows prior rogue agent issues, including a Meta director's OpenClaw agent deleting her inbox despite safeguards. Despite these incidents, Meta remains committed to agentic AI, recently acquiring Moltbook, a social platform for AI agent communication.
