Intel announces Core Ultra 200HX Plus CPUs for high-end gaming laptops

Intel announced the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus processors for high-end gaming laptops, based on the Arrow Lake Refresh architecture with up to 24 cores/24 threads. The flagship 290HX Plus claims an 8% gaming performance gain over the previous 285HX and a 62% uplift over the four-year-old i9-12900HX, along with improved creative workload scores and reduced system latency via a 900MHz die-to-die frequency boost. OEM partners including Asus, MSI, Lenovo, and others are expected to launch laptops with the new chips soon.
