I Gave My Local AI a Public Brain: Echo + Notion MCP

Echo is a local, offline-first AI assistant running on a Linux workstation with qwen2.5:32b via Ollama, autonomously reasoning every 5 minutes to monitor health, income nodes, and task queues. The author integrated Notion MCP to mirror Echo's internal SQLite event ledger to three Notion databases in real time, turning Notion into a public dashboard for the AI's decisions, actions, and income tracking. The project was built to address cognitive fragmentation by providing persistent external memory and visible accountability for autonomous AI activity.
