I built an open-source \"limbic system\" for AI agents — emotion, bias, and memory as MCP servers

The author built EmiliaLab Outer OSS, an open-source 'limbic system' layer for AI agents consisting of five MCP servers, an SDK, and community repos. It models emotional states via neurotransmitter simulation (dopamine, serotonin, etc.), manages cognitive biases with weighted presets, integrates both through a cognitive layer, and persists memory across sessions. The system aims to give AI agents persistent personality and emotional continuity rather than resetting to zero each conversation.
