This project reveals that strategic combinations of specialized computer vision and OCR can rival complex deep learning for geolocation tasks. By focusing on human-interpretable clues like road signs and text, the system achieves 74.8% accuracy while remaining more efficient and explainable than end-to-end neural approaches.
