How American Camouflage Conquered the World

Crye Precision, founded by Cooper Union art students, developed MultiCam—a single camouflage pattern designed to work across multiple environments by using seven carefully chosen warm-toned colors with varied gradients. Originally created to solve the US military's mismatched camo problem after 9/11, MultiCam has become so ubiquitous it appears on police uniforms, consumer products, and even earned a place in MoMA's permanent collection.
