Google introduces a new way for users to sideload Android apps that still protects against scams

Google announced a new 'advanced flow' setting that lets Android users disable app verification requirements to sideload apps from outside the Play Store, following its antitrust settlement. The process involves enabling developer mode, a restart, reauthentication, and a one-day waiting period to protect against scam-driven bypasses.
