Google, Accel India accelerator choses 5 startups and none are ‘AI wrappers’

Google and Accel's joint AI accelerator for India startups, the Atoms program, selected 5 startups from over 4,000 applications, deliberately excluding 'AI wrapper' ideas that merely layer chatbots on existing software. About 70% of rejected applications were wrappers, while the selected cohort receives up to $2M in funding and $350K in cloud credits. Around 75% of all applications focused on enterprise software, with productivity tools and coding dominating submissions.
