France Consolidates Business Registers: Unified Sirene and RNE API Access

France unified its historically fragmented company register into a single canonical source (RNE) on January 1, 2023, significantly improving programmatic access to French business data. Developers and organizations can now freely query up to 30 million company records via the open Sirene API or access detailed statutory information through RNE with minimal authentication. This consolidation eliminates the previous four-way fragmentation and represents a major step toward data transparency and compliance automation in Europe.
