Despite their intense rivalry, Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour and Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan are both investing in 5(c) Capital, a new $35M VC fund focused on prediction markets launched by former Kalshi employees. The fund, which also counts Marc Andreessen and Ribbit Capital's Micky Malka among its backers, plans to invest in about 20 companies building prediction market infrastructure. Meanwhile, Kalshi is raising $1B at a $22B valuation and Polymarket is in talks for a round at $20B.
