The Production Coffee Pot Server: How an April Fools RFC Became Real

RFC 2324, the Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol, has been a legitimate internet standard since 1998 despite being an April Fools joke—yet nobody had ever built a production implementation. BrewOps is the first production-grade HTCPCP server, written in Go with full compliance, monitoring, SLA guarantees, and even denial-of-service protection. This project demonstrates how audacious engineering humor combined with genuine technical rigor can resurrect forgotten standards and create something both whimsical and genuinely impressive.
