Brazil publishes a list of companies needing age verification, includes Ubuntu

Brazil's national data protection authority (ANPD) has extended the deadline to February 13, 2026 for 37 technology companies—including Canonical (Ubuntu)—to report on their compliance with the ECA Digital law (Law No. 15.211/2025), which mandates age verification and child protection measures in digital environments. The monitoring process aims to assess the maturity of technical and organizational measures these companies are implementing to protect children and adolescents online.
