Arinna raises $4M seed round to solve the space power problem

Arinna, a startup founded by two Stanford PhDs, raised a $4M seed round led by SpaceCadet Ventures to develop ultrathin solar panels for spacecraft using transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). The company plans to test its first products in orbit by end of this year and aims for megawatt-scale mass production by 2028. Arinna's TMD-based solar cells are claimed to be cheaper, more flexible, and more durable against cosmic radiation than legacy space solar panels.
