Arbor Energy just landed a billion-dollar order to bring rocket turbine tech to the power grid

Arbor Energy secured a deal to sell up to 5 GW (200 units) of its rocket-turbomachinery-based Halcyon turbines to GridMarket, a deal valued in the single-digit billions. The 3D-printed 25 MW modular turbines aim for grid connection by 2028, with plans to scale to 10 GW annual capacity. Halcyon can run on biomass for carbon-negative power or natural gas with CO2 capture, targeting surging data center and industrial power demand.
