Starting June 15th, Anthropic separates Claude Agent SDK usage into its own credit model, potentially driving costs up 12x–25x for autonomous workloads. This move eliminates the subsidy that made personal agents affordable on subscription tiers, pushing developers toward either expensive cloud Managed Agents or locally-hosted Claude Code instances with persistent state.
