Amazon acquires Rivr, maker of a stair-climbing delivery robot

Amazon has acquired Zurich-based robotics startup Rivr, known for its four-legged wheeled stair-climbing delivery robot. The deal aims to accelerate Rivr's vision of doorstep delivery at scale using Amazon's resources. Amazon had previously invested in Rivr's $22.2 million seed round in 2024, and the startup was last valued at $100 million.
