A century after the first rocket launch, Ars staffers pick their favorites

One hundred years ago, physicist Robert Goddard launched the world's first liquid-fueled rocket, 'Nell,' which flew just 41 feet for 2.5 seconds. To commemorate this milestone, Ars Technica staffers shared memorable launch experiences, including a firsthand account of Space Shuttle Endeavour's penultimate night launch (STS-130) in February 2010, which carried Node 3 and Cupola to the ISS.
