20 Minutes of Battery Operation in 0.30 Seconds

DER Twin is a Modbus simulator for energy devices that enables automated testing of EMS control logic without physical hardware. Its headless mode allows stepping through simulated time programmatically, compressing 20 minutes of battery physics into 0.30 seconds of wall clock time. A demo project demonstrates integration testing patterns using a simple EMS that cycles a 10 kWh battery between 40–60% SOC over Modbus TCP.
